The Eco Team of the Cape Elizabeth United Methodist Church is hosting a showing of the documentary film “The Letter” on Sunday, August 13 at 7 p.m.

The film puts a human face on the escalating issues of climate changes with scenes from around the world. It tells the story of the “Laudato Si” letter written by Pope Francis in 2015, urging all people of the world to take “swift and unified global action” on the growing issues of environmental degradation and global warming. The theme of the pope’s letter is “to take care of our common home”.

The church is located at 280 Ocean House Road (Route 77) in Cape Elizabeth.
