Dress a Girl 2026

Women from our church and friends will begin their 11th year of creating dresses for young girls living in poverty around the world as part of the Dress a Girl Around the World mission later this month. On Saturday, January 31 from 9 a.m.-noon in the church’s Sunshine Room, there will be a refresher course on how the dresses are created.

On Saturday mornings throughout February, the group will gather from 9 a.m.-noon in the Sunshine Room to add to the 3,279 dresses they have created since 2016. Linda Wakefield kicked off this project in 2016 and since then Judith Hill, Linda Webster, and Lili Acheson have been the guiding force.

All women are invited — just bring your sewing machines or just come to help out with a variety of necessary tasks. The public is invited and encouraged to participate.

Happy Sewing!
