The United Methodist Women once again prepared Italian sandwiches for Super Bowl Sunday.

Thank you for supporting UMW fundraiser

It wasn’t the record number of sandwiches ordered when the New England Patriots were playing in the Super Bowl a few years ago, but Sunday’s United Methodist Women’s Super Bowl fundraiser totaled 52 Italian sandwiches for members of our church and their friends to enjoy before and during the big game.

Kathie Hackett, Joanne Scontras, Gloria Kierstead,  and Mary Anne Champeon began making the sandwiches at 7 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday and delivered all 52 after the 8 and 10 a.m. services.

Last year 44 sandwiches were ordered and made — thank you for the extra efforts in 2010!

And, of course, congratulations SAINTS and DREW BREES!!

The UMW sandwiches clearly had fresh ingredients.
