Heather and Madison Keezer were among church members from both services to have a pancake breakfast together.
Gathering of 2 services for 1 meal
Pancakes with blueberry, apple and strawberry toppings, sausage, coffee, milk and juice. Who wouldn’t want a hearty Sunday morning breakfast like that?
For more than 50 members of our congregation, the answer was: Bring it on!
On Sunday, Oct. 17, breakfast was served between the 8 and 10 a.m. services and members from both services mingled, ate breakfast together and enjoyed a heartfelt fellowship. The gathering was an idea launched at a planning meeting a month ago and the end result was obviously an overwhelming success.
A dedicated kitchen crew of Katie Connelly, Laura Young-Connelly, Stephen Bither, Steve Hill, Regina Wilson and Chris DeSantis made all the preparations while regular members from the 8 a.m. service had the opportunity to enjoy the company of members from the 10 a.m. service. The best illustration of the two services coming together was Ginny Jordan from the early service and Nancy Brown from the second service sitting together and sharing 45 minutes of memories over pancakes and coffee.
