Looking at traditions throughout Advent

A new Adult Education Class will began on Sunday, Nov. 28, using the book “The Brightest Star of All” to celebrate the four weeks of Advent.

Sandra Hartford is leading the class, discussing many traditional Christmas stories while using Carrie Papa’s book as the foundation for the discussions.

Traditions to be discussed are meant to enrich our understanding of Christmas while figuring out how to include those stories in our own celebrations.

You do not have to have attended one of the studies to attend the next one. Come when you can and participate whenever.

The classes will be held at 9 a.m. in the Sunshine Room.

The upcoming studies:

• Dec. 5: Chapter 2: Stories about Animals
• Dec. 12: Chapter 4: Stories about Spiders and Insects
• Dec. 19: Chapter 7: Christmas Traditions and the Conclusion: Christmas Bells
