Thank you for Root Cellar pies

For Thanksgiving, members of our congregation made 46 pies for dinners distributed by The Root Cellar. Rev. Ruth Morrison and the Youth Group made an additional 12 pies, bringing the total to 58 that were delivered to The Root Cellar by Margaret Braun.

The Root Cellar is an interdenominational Christian mission with a goal of uniting churches in the common cause of satisfying the physical and spiritual needs of inner-city youth and their families. Nearby, there are Root Cellar missions in Portland and Lewiston.

For Thanksgiving this year, The Root Cellar prepared 388 dinners.
