Growth for church family

Our first church service of the new year also was a welcoming celebration for five new members of our congregation.

At the 10 o’clock service, the Rev. Ruth Morrison and Lay Leader Steve Hill introduced and welcomed Linda McKay, Pat and Lili Acheson, and Sarah and Todd Gagne. Each of the new members has been with our church for some time, but Sunday marked their official reception into membership.

Pat and Lili live in Westbrook and prior to moving to Maine, they were members of the Cullowhee United Methodist Church in Cullowhee, North Carolina.

Todd and Sarah live in Cape Elizabeth and formerly were members of the Congregational Church in Auburn, Maine. Todd and Sarah also were Joseph and Mary for our Christmas Eve pageant last month.

Linda was a member of First Church in South Portland before the UMC closed last year.
