An evening of fun and fellowship
The church’s Adult Social Activity Group on Friday hosted an evening at the Portland Museum of Art, followed by dinner. With temperatures in the low 60s, along with the vibrant atmosphere of First Friday downtown, it was a perfect evening for fun and fellowship.
A total of 21 people participated in the outing, which almost had an abrupt ending when our restaurant of choice for this event the past three years, Margarita’s, couldn’t handle a group of our size — largely because of celebrations of Cinco de Mayo.
Steve Hill and Duane Wakefield quickly came to the rescue, though, and arranged for us to eat at nearby Binga’s Stadium sports bar.
With a wide assortment of good food, lively conversation, and the Red Sox playing on a large screen television, it was a festive event!
