Welcome Back Sunday is Sept. 10 for our church with the return of the choir from its summer break, the beginning of Adult Education classes for the fall and a special focus on Sunday School.

The Rev. Casey Collins will be leading her first Welcome Back services in Cape Elizabeth and has planned the 10 a.m. service to center around our children. Instead of having Sunday School separate from the Sanctuary service, children will take part in worship throughout the service.

One of the special parts of the service will be a Blessing of Backpacks for the coming school year by Pastor Casey. Bring your children and their backpacks and invite friends of your children.

Traditional Sunday School will begin Sept. 17.

The Rev. Jim Young’s Adult Education classes will resume at 9 a.m. in the Sunshine Room. The subject for Jim’s first series of the fall is the Sermon on the Mount.

If you cannot attend our 10 a.m. service, join us for the 8 a.m. Chapel service.
