Hands-on experience

To best illustrate the story of Mary washing Jesus’ feet in the home she shared with Martha, Sunday School teacher Deanne Burr washed the feet of Maddie and Mason Keezer on March 4, after telling them the story and watching a video.

After the feet washing, Deanne helped Maddie and Mason simulate making the Nard perfume described in the Mary and Jesus story. In ornate bottles, they mixed vegetable oil, herbs, orange-flavored oil and food coloring.
