Enjoy and evening of Asian food and culture
For the second year in a row, Jo and Tim Stewart, along with Stephen Bither, have organized an Asian Supper to be hosted by our church on Saturday, Nov. 17.
Unlike our monthly church suppers which serve meals over a 90-minute period, the Asian Supper will have only one seating, scheduled for 6 p.m.
Last year’s Asian Supper filled Fellowship Hall to capacity and Stephen predicts a similar turnout for Nov. 17. As a result, only 100 tickets will be sold and Stephen recommends that the tickets should be purchased in advance after Sunday services or by calling the church at 799-8396. Tickets will be $10 each.
Stephen also is asking for volunteers to assist Jo and Tim with the extensive preparation for the supper and also for setting up Fellowship Hall and cleaning up afterward. Volunteers also are needed to help serve the meal.

Jo and Tim Stewart and others spent the entire day prior to last year's Asian supper preparing the meal.
Last year, Jo and Tim and their family and friends sent the entire day prior to the supper preparing the meal. This year, Jo, a native of Singapore, will begin to prepare many of the dishes on Friday night, Nov. 16, beginning at 6 o’clock. Volunteers who would like to assist should meet at the church at that time and Jo has agreed to give lessons on how each of the dishes are made.
Last year’s supper was a special event for everyone who attended, not only for the many courses that were served, but also for the education it provided of Asian culture.
Plan to attend and consider bringing family and friends.
