Christmas cheer from UMW
Continuing its spirited tradition, the United Methodist Women of our church spent part of Tuesday afternoon assembling gift baskets for 13 individuals around the Cape Elizabeth community who will have a difficult time getting out during the Christmas season.
Each basket contained a variety of holiday treats, including candies, cookies and fruit, and a centerpiece of Christmas holly.
The baskets, wrapped in color cellophane and tied together with a ribbon on top, will be delivered to homebound individuals throughout the week.
Thank you to the UMW and this wonderful mission of caring, one they refer to as “Sweets for Shut-ins.”
