The Rev. Ruth Morrison cuts a cake in her honor during a congregation celebration of Pastor Appreciation Month.
Thank you, Pastor Ruth!
Recognizing Pastor Appreciation Month, our church on Oct. 27 presented the Rev. Ruth Morrison with a card signed by the congregation, a collage of photos from Ruth’s nine years at the church and a cake with her image as part of the eatable icing.
During the 10 a.m. service, Mark Braun — chairperson of the Staff-Parish Relations Committee — spoke about what Pastor Ruth has meant to our congregation and read a poem “Feed My Sheep” about a church’s appreciation for its minister.
The inscription on the card presented to Pastor Ruth read:
“You’ve guided helped and inspired so many.
You are a special blessing in our lives.”
Here are some of the ways in which members of the church signed the card:
Blessings beyond measure
With love and appreciation
Thanks for all you do
Living your faith and love for all
Your wit, charm, grace and inner beauty — is an inspiration to me
So glad you came to us. Look forward to each Sunday with you
Thank you for your care and love for all of us
Your are a blessing
You are simply amazing
Ruth, you are great. I am so thankful you are here
You are the reason we come to this church
Thanks for everything!
