Creative inspiration

Priscilla Dreyman, a retired United Methodist minister and current executive director of Spiral Arts in Portland, offered a special project to our Sunday School class on Sept. 23 with the creation of Love Boxes.

The Love Boxes were created by intricately folding construction paper and painting the sides and tops. Before the folding took place, messages of what each child loves about his or her life were written inside.

When completed, the Love Boxes were designed to hold cherished items.

Priscilla previously worked with our church to create mosaics during the 2009 Vacation Bible School. Some of those mosaics are still displayed in the back hallway and in the Sunshine Room.
