Perfect day for Root Beer Floats
On a beautiful spring day, our church once again prepared Root Beer Floats at Cape Elizabeth’s Family Fun Day at Fort Williams on June 15.
Organized by Jim Tammaro, volunteers from the church prepared floats with soda donated by Shipyard Brewery and ice cream provided at a discounted rate from Kettle Cove Creamery. Church member Derry Rundlett made up the cost for the ice cream.
In addition to the Root Beer Floats, customers were offered dishes of ice cream and their choice of a variety of Capt’n Eli sodas, two of the most popular of which were blueberry and strawberry.
By the end of the day and with sales of sodas at church the following day, the church made a profit of almost $600!
Thank you to all who made this fund-raising event possible!
