Evening of Christmas Spirit
Our church continued a Christmas tradition with Cape Elizabeth’s Church of Latter-Day Saints on Dec. 8 with an Interfaith Christmas Concert featuring vocal and instrumental performances by both churches.
Thank you to Gail Parker for organizing our church’s “pick-up” choir for the concert at the Latter-Day Saints’ Church. The choir included the Fontana-Hubbard family (Rick, Carol, Jasper and Sarafina), Mark and Margaret Braun, Linda Webster, Maddie Keezer, and Beth Austin.
Our choir performed three numbers and joined the Latter-Day Saints’ choir for the singing of “Silent Night”. Before the combined singing of “Silent Night”, it was performed in three languages — French, Portuguese, and German — by members of the Latter-Day Saints Church.
Also during the concert, Mark Braun and Tyler Rodenberg performed piano solos and Maddie Keezer played “Jingle Bells” on her clarinet.

Maddie has been playing the clarinet for fewer than three months.
Following the concert, everyone was invited to stay for refreshments and the viewing of Nativity scenes from around the world, including one Margaret Braun brought back from a mission trip to Honduras.

Thank you to the Latter-Day Saints Church for hosting this special and inspirational Christmas event!
