On Saturday, April 23, members of the church’s Eco Team and others from the congregation picked up trash along the streets of Cape Elizabeth Town Center and also in some wooded areas of the church property.
It was part of a way to recognize and celebrate community awareness of Earth Day Weekend.
Trash was collected in large paper bags and bottles and cans were separated for recycling.
After everyone returned to the church parking lot with the trash, Jim Tammaro hauled it to the town dump. Appropriate bottles and cans were bagged for recycling at CLYNK.
Thank you to Bob and Linda Webster, Bruce and Sue Lind, Rod and Dotty Frey, and Carol and Ted Haider for spending part of their Saturday morning to help spruce up the center of Cape Elizabeth!
